Qualifications:

Director (Finance and Administration): External applicants: A special degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Account, or Management with a first or second class (upper division) pass and a Masters degree in a related subject, OR an associate member of a specified chartered accounting/management institute, AND at least 15 years of managerial experience. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR five years of satisfactory service as a Manager (MM 1-1).

Assistant Director (Administration): External applicants: A special degree in Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, or Economics with at least three years of relevant experience, OR a recognized degree and a postgraduate diploma in the relevant field with at least three years of experience. All applicants must have knowledge of computer applications. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR five years of satisfactory service as a Junior Manager (JM).

Conservation Officer - Grade II: External applicants: A degree with Chemistry as a subject recognized by the University Grants Commission. All applicants must have computer application knowledge. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR five years of satisfactory service as a Document Conservator / Information Assistant Grade II.

Information Assistant Grade III: External applicants: Passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil Language, Mathematics, and English Language; passed at least three G.C.E. (A/L) subjects; completed a computer applications course of at least three months, passing a trade test; and passed Stage I of a three-year Diploma Course in Library and Information Science. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR five years of satisfactory service in a Primary Grade and passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in not more than two sittings with credits in four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil Language and Mathematics; and passed Stage I of a three-month computer applications course and a three-year Diploma Course in Library and Information Science.

Management Assistant Grade III: External applicants: Passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics, and English; passed at least three G.C.E. (A/L) subjects; and completed a computer applications course of at least three months, passing a trade test. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR five years of satisfactory service in a Primary Grade, passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in one sitting with credits in four subjects including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics, completed a computer applications course of at least three months and passed a trade test, and have a permanent, confirmed appointment with at least five years of satisfactory service.

Driver - Grade III: External applicants: Passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in no more than two sittings with two credit passes, and hold a heavy vehicle driving license with at least three years of driving experience. Internal applicants: Five years of satisfactory service in a relevant Primary Grade and a heavy vehicle driving license with at least three years of driving experience.

Book Binder Grade III: External applicants: Passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects in no more than two sittings with at least two credit passes, and hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) certificate of at least the second level for the post's function. Internal applicants: External qualifications OR employed in the primary level unskilled category with five years of relevant experience and skills not below NVQ Level 2, proven at a trade test.

Office Assistant Grade III: External applicants: Passed six G.C.E. (O/L) subjects with at least two credit passes in a maximum of two sittings. Internal applicants: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka, physically and mentally fit, and have an excellent moral character.

How to apply:

Send a full bio-data with details of qualifications, experience, and two non-related referees, along with copies of relevant certificates, by registered post to the Chairman. The post applied for should be mentioned on the top left corner of the envelope. Applicants currently serving in government or semi-government institutions must submit their application with a recommendation from their respective head of department.
