Qualifications:
- Educational: Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects with at least two credit passes in not more than two sittings, OR completed the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ 3).
- Physical: Must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of Sri Lanka and perform the job duties.
- Other: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with an excellent moral character.
- Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 45 years of age at the application closing date.

- Prepare the application yourself on A4 paper using both sides, following the specified format.
- Pay a Rs. 500/- fee to the Bank of Ceylon account number 7042385.
- The envelope must be sent via registered post to the Director General of Irrigation, Irrigation Department, 230, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07.
- The post you are applying for must be clearly written on the top left corner of the envelope.
