This job vacancy announcement from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) – Renewable Energy Development Branch is for Civil Superintendent and Technical Mate positions on a two-year contract basis for the Mannar Wind Power Project Phase III.
Post of Civil Superintendent (2 Positions)
Duties - Provide technical input for civil works of the project.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have one of the following qualifications in Civil Engineering:
- National Diploma in Technology (NDT)
- National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES)
- Diploma in Technology (Open University of Sri Lanka)
- Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE)
- National Certificate in Technology (NCT) with 5 years of experience
- Age Limit: 18 - 30 years
- Experience in road construction, wind power projects, substations, or high-voltage transmission lines is an added advantage.
- Must be able to work in English and Sinhala or Tamil (Tamil proficiency is an added advantage).
- Preference for applicants from Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam Districts, or Northern Province.
Post of Technical Mate (3 Positions)
Qualifications
- Six (6) O/L passes, including Mathematics and Mother Language in a single attempt OR
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical fields, such as:
- National Certificate in Electrician (Household/Industrial)
- National Certificate in Electric Motor Winding
- National Certificate in Pneumatic Technology
- National Certificate in Electronic Appliances
- Age Limit: 18-25 years
- Must be able to work in English and Sinhala or Tamil (Tamil proficiency is an added advantage).
- Preference for applicants from Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam Districts, or Northern Province and those with NVQ Level 4.

Salary:
Civil Superintendent: EL2 Initial salary step of Civil Superintendent (CEB Salary Structure)
Technical Mate: EN5 Initial salary step of Junior Technical Mate (CEB Salary Structure)
Other Benefits
EPF: 10% (Employee) + 15% (Employer)
ETF: 3% (Employer)
